Popular weekly promotion returns to all Goodwill Tenneva stores on Labor Day, September 7
KINGSPORT, Tenn. — August 30, 2026 — Goodwill Tenneva is giving shoppers another reason to celebrate Labor Day with the return of a customer favorite. Beginning Monday, September 7, shoppers at all Goodwill Tenneva retail stores can once again take advantage of Color of the Week, offering even more opportunities to save while shopping secondhand.
And what better day to bring back the popular promotion than Labor Day — a day that celebrates the contributions of America’s workforce and closely reflects Goodwill Tenneva’s mission of changing lives through the power of work.
Each week, a designated tag color will be featured at a special discount, giving shoppers another reason to hunt for great finds at an even better value.
“We know how much our customers have enjoyed Color of the Week in the past, and we’re excited to bring it back,” said Kim Carmichel, President and CEO of Goodwill Tenneva. “Launching it on Labor Day feels especially fitting for an organization whose mission is centered around the power of work. It’s a great opportunity for our customers to save while also supporting programs that help people in our communities build brighter futures through employment.”
The return of Color of the Week is part of Goodwill Tenneva’s continued focus on creating an engaging and affordable shopping experience for customers throughout Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia.
Every purchase at Goodwill does more than provide a great deal.
Revenue generated through Goodwill Tenneva retail stores helps support the organization’s mission of changing lives through the power of work, including programs and services that help individuals overcome barriers to employment and build pathways toward greater independence.
Shopping secondhand also gives donated items a second chance, keeping usable goods in circulation and helping reduce waste in local communities.
Color of the Week begins Labor Day, Monday, September 7, at all Goodwill Tenneva retail locations. Shoppers can look for in-store signage each week identifying the featured color and follow Goodwill Tenneva on social media for updates. To find all Goodwill Tenneva locations, visit Goodwilltnva.org.
