All registrations MUST be submitted on or before Tuesday, March 31, 2026 by 7:00 PM EST.

I understand that I can register for only one Goodwill Day and one Goodwill location listed below. Shifts cannot be combined at multiple locations on the days of service, and all requested start and end times are subject to change by a Goodwill location to facilitate site operations.(Required)

REQUEST YOUR COMMUNITY SERVICE SHIFT

One (1) to eight (8) hours of community service can be performed between 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. at your selected Goodwill location above. NOTE: Hours must be achievable during the event time of 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Verified service hours will be prorated to match your arrival and departure times.

Eligibility: This statement certifies that I and/or my parent/legal guardian (if applicable) attest that I meet the eligibility requirements of this volunteer position. Individuals with current or adjudicated charges of assault/battery, child abuse, domestic abuse, murder, rape, sexual violence offense, or a charge with the aggravated designation due to violence or use of a weapon of any kind are not eligible for volunteer placement with Goodwill. Duration of this volunteer service is limited to a maximum of eight (8) hours.

Age: This statement certifies that I and/or my parent/legal guardian (if applicable) attest that I am or will be 16 years of age or older on the day of service. Proof of identity (driver’s license, school, work, or other form of valid ID) is required for clock-in on the day of service.

Conduct: This statement certifies that I and/or my parent/legal guardian (if applicable) attest that I will conduct myself in a professional and responsible manner while on any Goodwill-controlled property on the day of service. No inappropriate conduct or language will be tolerated. Volunteers must follow the policies and procedures of Goodwill Industries of Tenneva Area, Inc. Volunteers exhibiting unprofessional behaviors and/or violating Goodwill policies and procedures will be asked to leave the premises.

Safety and Security: This statement certifies that I and/or my parent/legal guardian (if applicable) attest that I will follow all safety and security procedures and protocols as instructed by Goodwill staff and/or workstation supervisors on the day of service. These include but are not limited to observing all public health and safety measures, wearing appropriate and comfortable clothing that can get dirty, wearing appropriate closed footwear (no bare feet, flip flops, sandals, or heels), and removing any technology (such as ear buds) that may prove distracting while at the workstations. Mobile phones must be set to vibrate/silent mode while at the workstations. Gloves, masks, safety glasses, back braces, and elbow pads must be worn as directed at specific workstations. Personal items must be stored securely in parked vehicles if on-site.

Break Times and On-Site Shopping: This statement certifies that I and/or my parent/legal guardian (if applicable) attest that I understand that break times are regularly programmed for all volunteers during operating hours. As a Goodwill volunteer, you and your family members are not allowed to shop at your assigned Goodwill location on the day of service or have items held for future purchase.

Bring your own meals, drinks, and snacks as appropriate for your shift. Pizza will be provided for the lunch break at 12:00 p.m.

Goodwill 101: This statement certifies that I and/or my parent/legal guardian (if applicable) attest that I have reviewed Goodwill 101, an integrative learning module (available by clicking here) that relates Goodwill’s history and mission services, and that I understand the mission and vision of Goodwill Industries of Tenneva Area, Inc.

Media Release: This statement certifies that I and/or my parent/legal guardian (if applicable) grant Goodwill Industries of Tenneva Area, Inc. the right and permission to take and use photographs, videos, and/or audio recordings of me related to my experience on the day of service for news, publicity, social media, advertising, and other informational purposes. This statement certifies that Goodwill may use such images of me with or without my name and for any lawful purpose.

Liability Release: This statement certifies that I and/or my parent/legal guardian (if applicable) release Goodwill Industries of Tenneva Area, Inc. from any liability due to personal injury, illness, or damage to any personal property while completing community service requirements on the day of service at any location of Goodwill Industries of Tenneva Area, Inc. and/or at any workstation to which I am assigned during the day of service.
